Miley’s Early Gen Litter

Miley has delivered a beautiful litter of black, apricot, and cream puppies! She had 7 puppies, 5 girls and 2 boys.  They should range in size from 18-24″ at the shoulders. They were born on September 6th and the puppies will be ready to go home November 3rd. The adoption fee for this litter will be $2,500

We had an unexpected event happen during the breeding of Miley for this litter.

Miley was bred to our stud Stetson twice. Unbeknownst to me, there was an  intact (and well bred)  Lab (Goose) visiting Miley’s guardian home during her heat cycle… and they had an ‘affair’… SCANDALOUS… I know. Goose  and Miley were accidentally let out at the same time and accidentally bred together at my guardian’s home a few days after I bred her to Stetson.

After multiple progesterone tests and having already bred  her twice to Stetson I doubted there was much of a chance that Goose would father any pups.  I changed my opinion when the puppies reached 4/5 weeks of age and were looking rather labby. I just ran a genetic test on them yesterday to confirm parentage, but I truly have no doubt that the father is the beautiful English lab. He is well bred and has good hip scores behind him in his parentage. He is well trained, has an amazing temperament and is even a therapy dog for the young woman who owns him.

The puppies are  wonderfully confident with therapy like temperaments as well. I do expect them to be mediums to large mediums, and it is possible/ probably that they will shed to some degree. While I would not recommend a puppy from this litter to families with allergies they will be fabulous labradoodles with great temperament! With things not going as planned I will be discounting the litter to $2500 plus sales tax. With early gen’s there is often a chance of sheddings so if you have allergies this is not the litter I recommend for you. With that being said there are so many pluses to having a lab closer in the pedigree, number one being temperament, the puppies will make wondering therapy dogs and family pets.

I am accepting applications for this litter they will be ready go home in early November still. Photos will be posted soon.  In addition, I am also accepting applications for Pepper’s Australian Labradoodle litter that will go home in early to mid January. Her pregnancy has been confirmed and she is due November 12th …. the father is DEFINITELY Stetson 😉
